Errachidia 2-day tour to Merzouga

Day 1: Pick-up at Errachidia airport and transfer to Merzouga - camel trek and night in the desert.

Our representative will pick you up at the airport in Errachidia and drive you south to the Sahara desert, passing through the kasbahs and palm oases of the Tafilalet region. This is one of the main areas producing dates and the harvest takes place in October and November. Once you start seeing the golden dunes, you will soon reach Merzouga. Your 4-legged transport will be waiting to take you through the dunes to your camp for an overnight stay under the stars. Dinner and music around the campfire and an unforgettable souvenir to take with you.

Day 2: Merzouga Rissani Erfoud Errachidia Airport

The best part of the day is often sunrise; one of the camp’s team members will make sure you miss it with a wake-up call. Once you’ve had breakfast, you’ll ride back on a camel to meet your driver. On your return to Errachidia, you will visit the market town of Rissani; last outpost for desert supplies.
It has a colorful market and a delicious local dish called Medfouna; a meat-filled pizza bread. The next interesting stop will be in Erfoud, where fossil and mineral workshops are located. Here you can see the millions of years old fossils found locally and how they are cleaned and polished, converted into many household items and of course the minerals are quite magnificent. You may even see actual dinosaur bones. The driver will drop you off at your hotel or airport.
