2 Day Tour from Fez to Merzouga

1er Day: Fez - Middle Atlas - Desert of Merzouga - Camel and night walk in a shop

We will pick you up at 8 am at your hotel/riad and leave from Fez towards Ifran, a beautiful mountain village known as «the Switzerland of Morocco», and then to Midelt. During this trip you will be able to see the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas. Stop in Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest -the largest in Morocco-, where you can spot Berber monkeys.

After a while in the forest, the journey continues towards Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas, after the city of Midelt you will travel through the fascinating pass of Tiz Ntalghamt and the Ziz Gorge, enjoying the views of the High Atlas plateau, you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Then, you will travel through the lush Ziz valley, stopping for panoramic views on the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. We will welcome you with a glass of mint tea before your camel ride, guided by an experienced camel driver to explore the golden sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in front of the store where you will spend the night.

2nd Day: Merzouga – Camel trekking – Return to Fez

After watching the sun rise in the dunes of Erg Chebbi, we will return to the hotel by dromedary. After showering and breakfast, we will leave Merzouga for Fez. On the way, we will pass by Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia and Medilt. We will stop for lunch and take photos of wild monkeys in the cedar forests of Azrou before arriving to Fez where we will take you to your Riad or hotel and end our services. End of the 2-day tour from Fez to Merzouga.
