TOUR OF THE DESERT FROM MARRAKECH TO ZAGORA 2 days

DAY 1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountain - Ait Ben Haddou - Draa Valley - Zagora

Departure at 08:00 a.m. from your hotel / foraging on an adventure tour through the desert to Zagora via the Tizi Ntichka pass (2260 m. alt) passing by different adobe Berber villages and locals herding their goats. When you get to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, you will have some free time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed village and its famous Kasbah, which has been used as a stage for several biblical epics and as a backdrop for commercial and modeling photo shoots. .

From here, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will have lunch in our free time. In the early afternoon, we will cross the northeastern parts of the Anti Atlas mountains to the oasis of Agdz. After a quick stop in the village centre, get ready to admire one incredible landscape after another driving along the Draa valley with its fortified kasbahs and oases dotted with hundreds of thousands of date palms. The Draa valley is home to the largest palm plantation in Morocco. Arriving at the dunes of Zagora late in the afternoon, we will meet our camel caravans and our camel trek adventure will begin through the sand dunes as we witness an incredible sunset. Just before dark, we take our camels to our Berber desert camp nestled between the sand dunes. Dinner will be served tonight under the stars while local Berbers entertain us with their drums. Feel free to learn about the constellation of stars or simply enjoy the silence of the desert under the crystal clear sky.

DAY 2: Zagora - Agdez - Ouarzazate - Tizi Ntichka - Marrakech

Early in the morning, your camp hosts will wake you up early to see the sunrise if you wish. After breakfast, ride your camels again to meet your vehicle and driver on the way. From here, we depart to Ouarzazate where we will stop. for lunch at a local cafe and visit Taourirt Kasbah. Early in the afternoon, we return to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains. Your 2-day desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora will end at your accommodation in Marrakech around 17:00.
